Who Is Ronnie Faisst?
There have been many remarkable motocross riders over the years with fascinating career stories. One of them is Ronnie Faisst – a rider with over 35 years of riding experience and one of the founding members of the FMX movement in the 90s.
This two part series brings back sweet memories of Crusty's Demons of Dirt movies and good times! - Privateer to Pioneer and The Birth Of FMX
He grew up racing motocross at the top of his class on the East Coast of America. But before racing and turning pro at the MX Nationals & East Coast Supercross races from 1995 to 1997, he competed 3 times at the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals first. When he turned 20 years old, he decided to move to California and became a pioneer in the sport of Freestyle Motocross.
For over 20 years, Faisst’s career has been strong in the FMX as he competed on a world-class level internationally, earning him four Bronze medals from ESPN X Games as well as Silver and Bronze medals from NBC Gravity Games.
X Games highlights
In 2000, Ronnie was a mainstay at the X Games where he placed in the top 10 in every event he competed in. In 2008 at the X Games, Faisst was the fifth rider to land the trick, nailing it after his previous attempts led to a broken foot, concussion, fractured wrist, and separated shoulder.
